As I have come to learn, when one goes through a trial, one’s character is revealed to himself. When going through a trial, one learns where his heart is. Through this process, one also learns the heart and character of God. I have recently started meditating on Isaiah 40: 28-31:
28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.
29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30Even the youths shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fall:
31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I like how the scripture begins, “Hast thou not know, hast thou not heard…” as if this is common knowledge and the writer is surprised that the reader does not know. For me, I sometimes put God in a box. I sometimes tell God how big my problem is instead of telling my problem how big God is. God gives power to the faint and he that has no might he increases strength. Be encouraged an know that if you keep focused on Him, He will help you.
